GSAS Picnic - July 19th

Date: Saturday July 19th, starting at 4 PM
Location: Lower Woodland Park, Shelter 3 (click for directions)
RSVP: info@gsas.org

Please join us for the GSAS Annual Summer Family picnic! This is a great time to meet up with other people in the club, have some food and enjoy a beautiful day talking about fish, aquatic plants, or anything else.

We will be meeting in Lower Woodland Park, Shelter #3. This shelter is on the south side of the park, where you enter from 50th St, and there is a large gravel area for parking right across the path from the shelter. Hopefully we won't be competing with any sea-fair or other Green Lake events for that weekend.

GSAS will supply hamburgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers, and all the fixings. Water and various sodas will also be provided. Please bring a dish to share with everyone!

There will also be a plant swap generously managed by Roy, so please bring some aquatic plants with you to share with the group if you'd like to participate. No live animals though, the weather this time of year is usually not kind to them.

Please RSVP at info@gsas.org by Saturday July 12th, so I can make sure we have enough food and drink for everyone. Also I am looking for 1-2 volunteers that can help me with set up and grilling, so when you RSVP, please let me know if you are able to help, thank you!

Thank You To Our Donors!

A big thank you to everyone who came out in force to our record-breaking general auction this year, especially to all our volunteers who worked tirelessly the whole day. And a special thanks to the sponsor stores and national companies.

Our big auctions still remain the primary source of income from the club, and their success means we can pay our rent and Internet video storage bills, bring in top quality speakers, and have nice prizes in our contests throughout the year. Thanks again!

Plant and Fish Auction: Thank You!

Thanks to all who attended our record-breaking plant and fish auction this month, from the bidders and sellers, to the auctioneers, recorders, check-in table, runners and all the other volunteers. We hope everyone came home with something interesting for their aquariums. And a special thanks to the generous donations from Florida Aquatic Nurseries, and our sponsor stores Aquarium Zen, Aquarium Co-Op and The Arium Store!
